In June of 2024, for the first time in five years, I went to China. I first went to check out sites in Fujian Province for our future China’s Coastline trip. I then went to XiAn to meet with CCBG families to embark on our third Silk Road trip. This essay describes my experiences as a traveler in China and as a student of Chinese history.
